[Homura is examining the journal when he presses the button to begin recording. He doesn't notice the change at first, as he's more interested in the device itself, so there are a few moments of quiet contemplation before he speaks softly, mostly to himself.]

... well ... people have tried, but there's not much we can do. They're so much more powerful than we are. People have been here for years and years and not been able to escape or anything... but it can't hurt to keep trying.

... not me. Even if things are sometimes terrible here... Luceti is my home. My family is here. I wouldn't want to leave... not anymore. I just try to keep moving forward... no matter how bad it gets.
